In LKS2, we are currently using a programme called Essential Spelling & Word Knowledge -  a spelling programme that enables pupils to understand the patterns in the English language using a combination of morphology, etymology and application of phonological rules. Unlike our previous spelling programme, there is no weekly homework for children to complete, as we have 3 dedicated spelling lessons each week.
